Why Positive Reinforcement Dog Training?
This type of training is for people who love their dogs and have their dogs not only as pets but also companions.
Good training consists of a great deal more than just teaching commands, because it takes more than that to have a well trained dog. That's why I teach you what to do, how to do, when to do and why you're doing along with the commands. I believe I can provide you with the guidance you need for the proper raising and care of your companion.
Dogs need structure, without it they may become insecure, stressed and confused. These symptoms can lead to inappropriate behavior. If a dog misbehaves, it's because he or she does not understand what acceptable behavior is.
With Positive Reinforcements training, your dog will be motivated to learn, by rewarding correct responses. This training is enjoyable for both the owner and the dog. When dogs learn with positive reinforcement they become more reliable.
Why ?
Cheryl L. Eliason is a trainer and dog owner. I have experience helping my friends and families teach their dogs to be their companions. I have completed a Dog Obedience Instructor Program at Penn Foster Career School. The programs I have created are designed to meet the needs of dog owners and multiple dog families.
I love dogs. I want my participants to love their dogs. My goal is to help my participants to learn patience, praise, repetition, correction and communication with their dog. Your dog will learn right from wrong and what is expected of him or her through love, praise and reinforcement.
What Is A Canine Good Citizen?
A Canine Good Citizen (CGC) is a friendly, well-behaved dog that we can take virtually anywhere without risk or bother to others -- a dog who behaves well in a crowd, has good manners when guests visit our home, is reliable around children, and who doesn't lunge, bark at, or threaten other dogs or passersby.
